The broken snowman

So for Christmas Carli made me a little snowman. She was so proud of it and told me over and over again that I needed to take it to work to put on my desk. Unfortunately it sat on the kitchen shelf for weeks after Christmas. She kept nagging me to make sure to remember to take it to work. So one day I finally took it. When I got it to work, I realized that the scarf around its neck had broken. A few weeks later, she asked me how the snowman was, and was it on my desk. I took the opportunity to tell her that it was, but that the scarf had broken on the trip into the office. (Maybe it's becuase I drive a redneck truck that rides rough and all the bouncing was too much for it). She was pretty upset that the scarf had broken, but I told her that I'm sure it could be glued back together.

For the next couple weeks, she would tell me EVERY day at night when I got home that I needed to take some glue to work and glue the scarf back together. So one day, she got a stick of superglue out of a drawer, wrote a note, and taped it to the kitchen cupboards so I would see it on my way out to work in the morning. I just thought it was cute that she was so concerned about this snowman that she has literally thought about it every day since.

Unfortunately, when I got to work and opened the superglue it was all dried up. I was unable to glue the scarf. So the saga continues.
